Defence and LMCF
The Department of Defence has organised the Defence Lake Attack as a charity event that dates back to the 1980's when it started as a road run by Army personnel from Puckapunyal to Melbourne. Since the mid 1990's, when the run location was changed to Albert Park Lake, and opened up to the community of Melbourne, the event has grown considerably. To help ensure such a significant charity event is a success, Defence now has a strategic partnership with the Melbourne Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation (LMCF).
